I know, I know, some people have "pet causes," like Al Gore and his silly little "danger, danger, save the planet!" schtick. I, on the other hand, have "a problem with websites who have shit-tons of money to kick about yet refuse to hire a decent graphic designer." The gem above accompanies a story about Yale University now offering digital online versions of many of their courses. And come to think of it, it does remind me of an advertisement for Kaplan or some kind of online university.

What does the pencil and the bubble-sheet have to do with online courses? Nothing.

Okay, so I have never exactly applauded CNN.com's graphic design department, but for serious, it appears they have now resorted to Windows 95-era MS Works Clipart, for chrissake.
