1) Dubya laughing--that's right, l-a-u-g-h-i-n-g-- today at a press conference while addressing the earthquake/tsunami tragedies, after explaining (between giggles) how we need to "further assess" the situation before sending a second wave of aid so that we can "better organize" our efforts.
Those people don't need your assessments, you son of a bitch. They need to clean up 50,000+ [ed: now looks like 100,000+] dead bodies. I don't want to hear about tsunami warning systems on the West Coast. I want to hear about US aid getting to these poor fucking people who are still sorting through each others' remains looking for their families.
Seriously. Fuck. Off.
2) People calling you from loud places who think that they need to scream into their cell phones because they can't hear you. My eardrums would appreciate a little common sense, folks.
Seriously.
3) Ice storm on New Year's Day. Looks like my Madison trip may be cut short and I may spend the NY's Eve at yet another midwestern Chinese restaurant talking about vericose veins and davenports.
